Metal Bushes

The largest manufacturer of C-class aerospace components in Europe, Attewell has been operating for over 75 years.  We make a range of metal and non-metal bushes to meet your every production requirement.  As an essential component in ensuring that your bearings do not wear prematurely, with potentially dangerous consequences, it is vital that bushes are manufactured to a high specification, with accuracy and reliability. Attewell has a long history of working with the leading aircraft manufacturers worldwide to do just that.  Our state-of-the-art equipment means that we can work with a variety of metals to ensure that all possible needs can be catered for.

Stainless Steel bushes
Stainless steel bushes are strong and durable. The chromium content of stainless steel means that it is corrosion and rust resistant, resulting in it being appropriate for use in environments which may be exposed to humidity. Stainless steel bushes are tough and resistant to impact and so are well suited to challenging situations.

Titanium bushes
Titanium has the advantage of the highest strength to weight ratio of any metal, meaning that thinner bushes can be manufactured that will have the same strength as steel.  It also benefits from low thermal conductivity as well as a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which means it is highly appropriate for use in situations where it might be exposed to extreme heat. In addition, it is highly resistant to corrosion.  Titanium bushes are more costly than other options, but may well be the perfect solution for challenging environments where thinness, low weight and high levels of heat resistance are important for optimal performance.

Aluminium bushes
A less expensive option, aluminium is very lightweight, meaning that is versatile and so popular for a range of production needs.  It is easy to work with and resistant to corrosion and rust, meaning it can be deployed where humidity may be present. It is relatively easy to completely recycle and so is a popular choice of material for that reason in addition to its functionality in the aerospace production process.
